Introducing a Paradigm Shift

All identities, sizes, abilities, cultural backgrounds and more are welcome at AIM.

It is widely accepted that movement can help improve our wellbeing, quality of life, functional capacity, performance and more.

Unfortunately, due to diet culture, toxic fitness culture and of course grind culture, all of which can promote harm through moral superiority, discrimination, exclusivity, control, miseducation, all-or-nothing approaches, etc, it is not surprising that movement is not always synonymous with such life-enhancing outcomes.

Autonomy In Movement represents an overdue paradigm shift in the movement setting. All people are valued and believed, and our community of like-minded, supportive, and trauma-aware people fosters a considered environment for exploring a truly life-enhancing relationship with movement.

Autonomy In Movement is proudly owned and operated on Jagera and Turrbul land. We acknowledge Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples should be aware that this website may contain images or names of people who have since passed away.
